In 2020, amid the stillness of a lockdown, Shrestha Shandilya and her mother Poonam were talking about their developing hometown of Banka, Bihar. Her mother's suggestion was simple and profound: start a boutique. She would look after it herself.

In 2021, Poonam passed — and Shrestha knew exactly what she had to do. Poonam's House of Fashion is not just a brand. It is a living, breathing tribute to a woman whose eye for beauty was her greatest gift to the world.

Shrestha brings to this legacy a premium corporate background across Colors TV, Sony Entertainment, and Times of India, a film career that touched the sets of Dharma Productions' Brahmastra, and a lifelong childhood dream to study at NIFT. Every stitch carries both their stories.
